I'm getting sick, and I don't know how to get rid of this stupid throat kinda-cough congestion thing. It's very irritating. And probably because now everybody knows Airborne is useless, the placebo effect will be nil. Bah.

Oh, Intelligent Design proponents, you make me lol. A lot.

I've also been reading Everything Is Miscellaneous, which is a book about classification and info organization that both information/classification people and those who are not can get something out of. It's immensely friendly and easy to understand, and everybody who wants to understand how digital information sorting works should pick it up.

Oh man, that first link is just too awesome. One of the new guys I work with is a Christian-with-a-capital-C and his membership in some sort of "DIE RICHARD DAWKINS DIE DIE DIE" Facebook group (I'm paraphrasing, but, you know) has been the source of much hilarity to the rest of us. They'll appreciate this for sure.

I love that icon.

By the way, whatever did you decide on the IUD front? It's been three months since I got mine inserted, and besides minor cramps from time to time, I feel great. Plus, I haven't had my period in that time, which is a bonus. There was a little spot of blood three weeks ago during the full moon when everyone else I know was on their period. If that's all I get, I'm okay with that.

I've definitely decided to go for it, as this whole forgetting to take pills thing is starting to get kind of old. I'll probably do it in summer.

If I can give some advice, you should think about scheduling your insertion at the end of a pill cycle. Otherwise, they recommend you stay on the pill until you're finished with the pack, and the extra hormones from the IUD, even though it's slight, can fuck with you a little.

Thanks for the tip, but I'd be getting the Paraguard, the one that doesn't have hormones. I want to be done with HBC for ever and ever.
