pearwaldorfI had this big long post about my trip to Portland, but Semagic saved over it. Grr.
Basically, I saw my parents, discovered my dad is talking about his feelings 'n shit now (if you knew my dad this would be absolutely revelatory); watched Waitress with my mom (a bit uneven, but Keri Russell is brilliant and Nathan Fillion is absolutely adorkable. mydarkstar and bought a ridiculous amount of Lush products (I tell you, this stuff works--I have been using it for three days and my skin is positively incandescent); and saw one of my old professors from Portland State. He was unceremoniously fired about three years ago, and he's been bopping around India and Nepal and back to South Africa ever since. I have missed him a lot.
Because I was so sucktastic with planning this last time, I will put it out there now: I will be back in Portland in about three weeks. Get yourself into the socialization queue now! Hurry, space is limited. *snark*
