Ars Technica goes to the Creation Museum. It's $20 to get in. WTF, man? How on earth are all the quiverfolk with their 20 kids going to afford that?
A description of a talk/panel Khaled Hosseini did about his new book, A Thousand Splendid Suns. Some interesting thoughts on the burqa, and what it represents to both Western and Eastern women.
How federal policy really screws over the poor in regards to savings, as detailed by the National Center for Policy Analysis. For every dollar a single mother making $15000 a year saves, she loses $2.60 in taxes and government benefits. This includes retirement funds and any cash value in life insurance policies (in Massachusetts at least). If I think about it anymore I might explode.
Here, have a video of a baby porcupine. It even makes baby noises!
