Apparently it might be cheaper for me to get private health insurance than to go with whatever the school has to offer. That's messed up. And now, linky links:

How federal policy really screws over the poor in regards to savings, as detailed by the National Center for Policy Analysis. For every dollar a single mother making $15000 a year saves, she loses $2.60 in taxes and government benefits. This includes retirement funds and any cash value in life insurance policies (in Massachusetts at least). If I think about it anymore I might explode.
