my friend recently contracted
herpes and he used a condom.
So theyr'e not 100%, but still
more than y'know .. NOT using.
but that's just duh. heh.

Well, herpes is a skin-to-skin disease. It is possible--nay, inevitable--to come in contact with more than just the requisite bits that condoms provide a barrier against, and that's probably where he got it. But, yes. Definitely better than not using one at all.
