U.S. Energy Secretary says domestic opposition prevents lower greenhouse gas caps

Remember how I said that the developed world rarely bears the full weight of its decisions?

This is a distorted map that shows the relative size of countries in regards to their greenhouse gas emissions (thanks Ezra).

The bottom image is a distorted map that shows the relative number of deaths due to environmental changes (including climate change).

I wish I could say I was optimistic about people being scared enough to do something, but you have to get people to believe something exists first.

More proof that I spend too much time in Vancouver: In Supernatural, I can identify the sound of the Skytrain.

Watching 2.10 now. I like Ellen and Jo, or maybe I'm just happy to have the presence of females who aren't victims and/or sex objects. They probably won't survive, but I am glad they are around now. Angst and emopants for the boys--combined with Vancouver, MOTWs, and the alumni, it feels like X-Files. I hadn't realized how much I'd missed it.
