Mar, you are a fucking GODDESS. Thank you for the comments code; I saw what I did wrong now. And it was such a dumb error too. But isn't that the nature of programming? I was talking to "Archer" (how very odd. Livejournal doesn't allow you to search on name) tonight and he said that refusal to be bested by a machine is one of the things that makes a good programmer. He never mentioned the frustration involved with that as well.

And for those of you who care, the javachip was rescued on Saturday and is now chilling peacefully in the freezer of the parental domicile. ^.^
