TOTAL WORD COUNT/VIDDED MINUTES FOR THE YEAR: I'm going to spitball it at 15,000-ish? And 11 minutes of vid.

OVERALL THOUGHTS: This is like 3x more than I wrote last year, so I'm pleased. I also learned to vid this year, and I think I did all right. I can always improve, but I think that will come with doing more vidding and writing.

PERSONAL BEST: Best is subjective, always, but I think the one that challenged me the most personally was my first vid, But I Only Have Two Hands. It was amazing how much faster the next two went.

PERSONAL FAVORITE: This is what it feels like. I have a lot of feelings about Steve and Bucky, and I'd like to think they came through loud and clear in this vid.

MOST UNDERAPPRECIATED (IMO): Your happy welcome in, my heart at ease, definitely. I worked really hard on this story and I'm still sad it doesn't have as many hits as I think it deserves.

MOST POPULAR: Human sacrifice and mass hysteria, for sure. Which I am glad about, because I adore this pairing and I'm glad people like how I write it.

STORY WITH THE SEXIEST MOMENT: I liked the bit in the bar in I don't need tender mercies. Trust and vulnerability are sexy. Natalia isn't somebody who trusts easily, and I think it's a big step for her to allow herself to be vulnerable physically and emotionally.

STORY THAT SHIFTED MY OWN PERCEPTIONS OF A CHARACTER: I have two. The words You place in my throat is the one where I actually had to think about Cullen as a person with a history and formative experiences. I also basically invented histories for Dr. Wu and Yinsen in Your happy welcome in, my heart at ease so I'd say that was pretty perception-shifting.

MOST FUN STORY TO WRITE: A toss-up between two is a coincidence and human sacrifice and mass hysteria. Abbie, Howard, Cullen, and Dorian all have very distinctive voices that are a joy to write, and lbr, the premises of both stories are faintly ridiculous, which made them fun.

HARDEST: eppur si muove was a bitch to finish up, and I think it shows.

BIGGEST SURPRISE/S: Unhesitatingly, Cullen Stanton fucking Rutherford and how much I don't hate him now.

BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT: I don't think I had any real disappointments this year. Do I wish I'd finished more things? Of course. Am I going to be bothered by it? Of course not.

MOST UNINTENTIONALLY TELLING STORY: I wouldn't say unintentionally telling, but those are the days that bind us is probably the most personal story I've ever written. There are parts where I'm literally writing to my past self the things I needed to hear.

FAVOURITE LINES/SCENES: ngl, I am inordinately fond of Rumlow's "I contain fucking multitudes, Amador. You have no idea" line in Soldiers and High Castles. The entirety of Cecil's conversation with the librarian in those are the days that bind us. 1:25-1:35 of eppur si muove. 1:29 to 1:35 of this is what it feels like.

LINES/SCENES YOU’D CHANGE: The last third of eppur si muove. Thematically it fell apart towards the end, albeit in an acceptable manner because it was pretty much nothing but Pepper and Rhodey. I'd probably revise socks by their color a bit more, but I wrote in like a day and I was so excited to get it out the door.

TOP FIVE SCENES YOU WISH WOULD BE ILLUSTRATED:

2015 WRITING AMBITIONS:
Finish up the MCU stuff that's been hanging around. With phase three looking like a giant pile of shit and/or blah, I think it's time we took a break from each other until Cap 3.
Finish up the Mass Effect fic that's been hanging around since 2012 oh my god
Do more kinkmeme prompts. I want to get better at writing porn and this is about as low-stakes as it gets.
