Normally I hate shipping portmanteaus with the white-hot fire of a thousand suns. (Unless they're funny or clever*. Which they rarely are.)

But the one for Garrus/Tali? Appears to be "Talibrations".

Oh Tumblr. Normally you are a hideous pit of voles that deserves to eat itself alive, but on occasion you redeem yourself slightly.

[edit:] AHAHAHA the "talibrations" tag on Tumblr is so amazing they are all so earnest and indignant (and the fic is so OOC and goopy) at the Shakarian trolls and completely overprotective of their ship. Oh fandom. Never ever change.

(*Pepperony is at least amusing if slightly cringey. I do not ship Zachary Quinto/Benedict Cumberbatch in the slightest [and I don't think anybody actually does], but I sometimes wish I did so I had more opportunities to throw around Qucumber.)

I suppose it would be uncharitable to classify it as awful, considering the truly egregious things you or I have most certainly read, but it's all so fucking generic (examples: 1 2 3 4). Like, there is absolutely nothing in the characterization that I could even point out as something either of them would say. (OK this one isn't so horrible)

I haven't waded through the pairing tag on AO3 because it all seems to be tucked into eight part 60K word epics and I don't care that much. So it appears that I must write my own if I want any. *handstapleforehead*

Oh god I totally forgot about Peeniss. (Or blacked it out, I'm not sure which.) I am not familiar with Bushblower but that's kind of amazing.

Also apparently there are like all the pairing smush names on Tumblr now? For all the things Including the OT3s. The verbal acrobatics are kind of amazing.

I thought it started on fanfiction.net or similar, because they started deleting fics with slashes in the tags, but I can't find anything to back me up on Fanlore.

But to the best of my knowledge, Tumblr has never been able to do slashes in tags.

(I was Googling around and apparently the alternate pairingsmush name for Katniss/Peeta is KatPee? I did not know there was anything in this world that would make Peeniss seem like the more viable alternative. D:)

I wish there was a way to limit the talibrations tag to just the fanart because the fic is awful. So awful. I feel like I need to write one as proof of concept that one can be in-character and not suck.
