(no subject)
Aug. 19th, 2006 09:43 pmThings I have learned today:
* Wine tastings can actually get you drunk rather quickly, as a tasting is apparently about a third of a glass.
*Leavenworth, Washington is creepy and requires all their signage to be pseudo-Gothic and/or German(ish), just enough to give the tourists a sense that, by golly Verna, we're not in English-speaking podunk Washington anymore!
* The wine festival in Leavenworth sucks, and they make you pay extra for food.
* Not a fan of dry reds, but the Pasek Cellars make a great cranberry wine that's just sweet enough for people who like lambic.
* I cannot go out drinking with large groups of people anymore, as I have an unfortunate tendency to pick acquaintances/drinking buddies who become raging asses when drunk and help incite drama of fandom_wank proportions.
No more social contact for the rest of the weekend, I think.
