Pictures from immigration rallies all over the country
It makes me all sad that I couldn't be at the one in Seattle on Monday, because I had to work. There was a photo I saw at work of a group of Chinese people in Philadelphia marching from Chinatown to join the main rally, and I can't find it. It annoys me also because I'm looking at all these photographs, and I'm wondering where all the Asian people are. While the Asian immigrant population is smaller and much less vocal than their Hispanic/Latino/Chicano counterparts, they have a stake in this too, and it worries me that smaller minority groups, including Asians, will not get their concerns voiced when it comes time to settle everything in Washington. Plus, I don't want to be the only Asian there on May 1.
