WASH! WAAAASHHH! Oh my god, Wash! I cried so hard and so much. And I thought everybody was going to diiiee and it was scary and if everybody died I was going to kill Joss myself, and, and. Yeah.
When they showed Mal in Wash's seat that just made me extra sad. Underscoring the fact that he really wouldn't be back.
I really want to give Zoe a hug. Except she'd probably punch me in the face.
There were FEN at the theater. FEN! They started clapping at the start of the movie and everything. I wanted to go up to them and go "Please let me be your friend/partner in crime. I NEED SOCIAL CONTACT!"
Many things in the movie pleased me, esp. the bedheaded and shirtless!Mal. I have never thought of Nathan Fillion as a particularly attractive man, but that was just delicious.
Also, Simon/Mal slashers? I have seen the light, hallelujah.
Sometimes, I think Joss enjoys thumbing his nose at all his fans. The Mal/Inara was just about perfect, and I say this as somebody who mightily loathes the pairing. It satisfied people like me, and gives the shippers to chew on. Reminds me of my X-Files days.
It was not what I expected it would be, nor what I would have wanted it to be, but it was still just about perfect. There are very few moments where a fan can say with content gratitude to a creator "Thank you. Just... thank you." This is one of them.
