Can we please petition Alfonso Cuaron to come back for the fourth movie? Please please please? I've looked at Mike Newell's past directing efforts and I fear greatly.

1. David Thewlis is the most perfect Remus I could have hoped for. I pictured him a bit shaggier in my mind, but no matter. He was wunnerful.

2. SIRIUS REMUS = 4EVAH!!!! Theirloveissogayanditmakesmesqueeinsidetheend. "This is who you are truly, in your heart." Awwwww.

3. Rupert Grint--poor boy. He looks like Ron, but he sure as hell can't act like Ron. He was totally sidelined in this.

4. I feel like such a nasty old perv re: Daniel Radcliffe. I cannot glom on him, as much as I would like to. I am old enough to be his babysitter, and that seriously freaks me out.

5. The flying scenes... so lovely. The first one where Harry rides Buckbeak is just so... wow. You never would have seen a flying scene treated like that when Columbus was director.

6. NO QUIDDITCH! I was so happy that Cuaron hates Quidditch as much as I do.

7. Hermione! Eee! She 0wnz0red, and that made me v. happy. And god. This whole damn franchise makes me feel like a pedophile.

8. The movie was just so lovely and mature and it was wonderful. The way Columbus treated the first two, it was still kiddie entertainment that was able to be watched by adults--trivialized. Cuaron approached the material with respect and gravitas, and it added so much to the experience. I hope Mr. Newell follows that example.

[eta:] Cuaron you sly bitch (spoilery). I <3 you. *scurries off and writes fic*
