We shall have to do it Wednesday as Thursday and Friday are corporate slavery at Freddy's. Woe. We should get food before we go to Bartini and then perhaps Embers. I shall call you about 4 or 5-ish?
Is it bad that I'm already thinking "suuuuuushi" for the food? Damnit, I went there three times last week! And now I've overspent a bit and shouldn't be going out at all...but I still will, of course.
Re Thursday: What time do you get off? I've got that free pass to see Hidalgo at Lloyd Center at 7pm...if you can't go, I will go alone (sniffle), and I do have another pass to see it at the same time and place on the 25th, but still. aNgEsT211!!
Oh, and it occurs to me - I think Bartini's happy hour is 4-6:30 (or 4:30-6, I forget), so maybe we should go there first, then eat... and the sushi place opens for dinner at 5 and has $1.25-a-plate everything on Wednesdays. Or we could not eat sushi. Or something.
$1.25 everything? Oh shit, I am going to gorge myself on pineapple and get sick. So yes, we should probably go to Bartini first. But then there's alcohol on an empty stomach and that is not the good. Meep. The agonizing choices we must make.
I'm going to gorge myself on strawberries and cream, which they did have on Saturday when I went with J...yum. (The "cream" was more condensed milk, but I like condensed milk.) Maybe we could get something small and appetizer-y at Bartini? Or, it is right near Moonstruck, which has faaabulous milkshakes...hmm.
(p.s., I just got called by AJ and they want me to work 2-4 today - actually, they wanted 2-5, but I'm trying to negotiate. Arghle. Perhaps I should call you when I can...)
OH! OH! I just got a message from the PIG (Portland goth) list that tonight at Holocene will be...BATTLE OF THE KNOBS. Besides the fact that the name sounds like gay pr0n, it's a DJ face-off, so it should be extra-pretentious. Something to do between sushi and Embers, perhaps?
It's at 8, and I STILL don't know if I'm getting off at 4 or at 5 - I've called twice and they keep saying they'll find out if 4 is okay and get back to me, but NO. Argh. Would you be willing to meet me at AJ? The 4 does just stop right across the street, and if I'm alone (likely) I'll make you some nice drinky thing fo' free...
