Jesus H. Christ. A place that calls itself fucking Bartini and has the foofiest list of drinks next to 820 (I highly recommend going there at happy hour and getting yourself a Lucy's Sidecar. They are absolutely fab) doesn't carry pomegranate martinis? Woe beyond all woes. I guess Time was right and the damn things are trendy and hipster, because the only place anybody has been able to find them in Portland is Holocene, which is so hipster it hurts.

Shit, I'd forgotten about Bartini - I saw it written up in either Williamette Week or the Mercury (of course) a while back. Chocolate cherry martinis! We must go.

Though, looking at the prices on the cuisine page, it would perhaps be best to do so when we can both splurge financially a bit...

Hell yes. And a martini with every course? I would be faceplanted by the third plate. Maybe that's how they make their money.

I just left you a message on your cell, then realised that you'd probably check your e-mail before you checked your messages, so:

Holocene is open both tonight and tomorrow night, w00t! They're having some generic DJ guy thing there tonight (and FREE PINBALL OMG WTF!1!!@!), whereas tomorrow they're having a First Thursday Dance Party (ooooo hip). Either night would be good, since I just found out that the sushi place near Embers has $1-a-plate night on Wednesdays. (J and I have been there, though not on a Wednesday, and it's pretty good.) But First Thursday! Where we wouldn't need pomegranate martinis, because we could just cadge a pile of glasses of cheap, shitty wine from galleries! Or, we could do both. Decisions...
