Feb. 2nd, 2004 03:44 pmTotally digging upon the Decemberists CD Adrienne was kind enough to send me (and thank you for not writing in my Tolkien book even though you really wanted to :p). It pleases me greatly.
I have a 100 spindle of CDs, plus 25 left over from the last spindle, and about 100 CD cases to fill up. And a CD Doctor. Tell me what I should try and find at the library (the Multnomah County Library has a surprisingly excellent collection of CDs) and burn. Anything you think I'd like. Or even stuff I wouldn't like but you think I should listen to.

Date: 2004-02-02 04:21 pm (UTC)I think I'll just dig through my CD collection and see if there's anything good in there I haven't burned for you yet. If nothing, I can give you the other Decemberists CD. I'm surprised I didn't think of that when I sent the first one.
Speaking of CDs: I pre-ordered the new Vienna Teng CD today. I am, indeed, teh sex0r. =P

Date: 2004-02-02 04:33 pm (UTC)And I sent out your CDs today. I have no idea when they'll be there because I haven't sent anything media mail rate in a long time. I kind of went on a bit of a burning binge and sent you more stuff than you requested. But oh well.
Must remember to pre-order the new CD. I'm kind of annoyed that CDBaby still doesn't have the CD available for preorder. I'd like to support indie distribution, but it's kinda hard to do that when they don't have what you want. Bitches.

Date: 2004-02-02 06:30 pm (UTC)I'm a bad girl-- I ordered my CD off amazon.com. However, I feel justified in doing so, as I used a Christmas gift certificate to buy it, and didn't actually spend any of my own money in the process.

Date: 2004-02-02 05:19 pm (UTC)All the other stuff I like you probably already have or hate. Am unkewl. There is this neat compilation I found at the Gresham branch, of all places - it's actually the best place to look for CDs, since no one goes there - called "Dreamworld - Essential Late Night Listening," with lots of dark, sexy dancey stuff. Except that I made a copy of the copy I have out, and while the library copy didn't skip at all, mine does. The same thing happened with Either/Or, which makes me wonder if there's some sort of anti-copy protection or something going on. Argh.
