The sentence diagrammed Preamble to the Constitution

I don't know if you ever had to diagram sentences in high school, but just LOOKING at this made me cringe in horrified memory. I don't know that they ever helped me learn the different parts of a sentence (I think anything beyond a clause is just straying into grammar Nazi territory), but I do remember getting most of the diagramming wrong and my homework coming back with red scribbles all over it.

Okay, that's worse than anything I've ever seen, sentence-diagramming-wise, and I have six years of Latin under my belt. (And let me tell you, the Ancient Romans were the undisputed Rulers of Run-On-Sentences.)
