A Hello Kitty laptop!

This is pink beyond belief and quite frightening, but it's so COOL!

I don't know what it is, because most girly stuff I'm like "eh" about, but whenever you put me near a big pile of Sanrio (esp. Hello Kitty) stuff, some rational switch in my brain turns off and I start squealing "KAWAII!!!!!" at every piece of Sanrio merchandise I see.

Also: Portlanders. We have a Morning Glory store (fine purveyors of Sanrio-type merchandise) at Lloyd Center where the Frederick's of Hollywood used to be, on the bottom level. I seriously recommend you check it out. Y'know, if you're into that sort of thing. The selection is better than at Little Finnegan's, and the prices are lots better.

Back in Santa Barbara, Morning Glory was the name of the local indie record store so I had a moment of "morning glory? Dude, they SUCK compared to everyday music!" But, oh, you meant something else. :)

Dude, the snow! The snow! I can't believe you might have to work today.

AHHAAAHAAAAA. I love little indie record stores. (And Everyday Music, which is still my indie record store of choice) There was this one in Vancouver, BC I went to that had bands that were so indie I'd only heard of about ten of them. But they also had an Andrew WK autographed picture on the wall. Go figure.

The snow! The snow! And I am not going to work, not for all the holiday pay in the world. It's too damn scary.

Good for you for no working. Really, since it is New Year's, hopefully it's not too bad for everyone to be stuck inside. I feel all smart for making sure I didn't need to leave the house until at least Saturday for food and the rest.
