pearwaldorfThe Carteret Islands are in the middle of the South Pacific near Papua New Guinea. They are the first group of people (that I know of) who have needed to relocate because of global warming and the rising sea levels that are destroying the crops and flooding the island.
Me: It's got to totally suck knowing that your home and way of life is being destroyed by the collective actions of billions of people who don't even know you exist.
Cody: Or care.
The developed world rarely faces the full consequences of its actions, but to deny that those consequences even exist is ridiculous and reprehensible.
