Fliers to be rated on risk level under new TSA guidelines

Most people will be coded green and sail through. But up to 8 percent of passengers who board the nation's 26,000 daily flights will be coded "yellow" and will undergo additional screening at the checkpoint, according to people familiar with the program. An estimated 1 to 2 percent will be labeled "red" and will be prohibited from boarding. These passengers also will face police questioning and may be arrested.

Do note that this is following a TSA directive to cut the number of full-time airport screeners by like 30% and hire more part-timers. I saw the head of security at Portland International talking about how more retirees and college students need supplementary income and this would be a great opportunity for them. Um, I work with college students and retirees. I DO NOT WANT THEM SCREENING MY FUCKING LUGGAGE! I want trained professionals who are being paid well enough to concentrate on their jobs and not whether they'll make rent next month. And I refuse to believe that on every flight I have ever taken at least one or two people were enough of a risk to actually blow up the plane as a statement of ideology.

I need to find a Canadian sponsor, this country is too fucked to keep on living in.
