1. What's the last place you traveled to, outside your own home state/country?
Vancouver, BC

2. What's the most bizarre/unusual thing that's ever happened to you while traveling?
I dunno. I think it would come down to two things. The first was when I went to New Zealand with my family a few years ago, the door of our rented van malfunctioned. And since it would take more time than we had available to get it fixed, we just started climbing in and out the tiny door in the back. Enter my great-granduncle Hugh (Incidentally, if you search through the Dictionary of New Zealand Biography site under "sew hoy", you'll find four entries for my maternal relatives). We had to get him from point A to point B, and the door didn't work, so we had to get this 95 year old man in and out of the van through this tiny little door. It was quite interesting, especially as Uncle Hugh kept falling asleep during the process. Perhaps it's better that story didn't make its way to the funeral.

The second one isn't quite as interesting as the first. Basically I wanted to go find a nice little family-owned restaurant to eat in during my layover in Seattle on my way to Vancouver, and I came across this little Vietnamese bistro that was empty during the lunch rush. First bad sign, especially as every other place around it was full to bursting. The second bad sign was that my ordered "quail" looked quite suspiciously pink and a lot like chicken. I ate it anyways, and I paid for it by throwing up in the bus station in the bathroom. It was not pleasant, but on the other hand, I could have been stuck with food poisoning for the duration of my trip. Fin.

3. If you could take off to anywhere, money and time being no object, where would you go?
I would travel Europe, India, China, and Japan.

4. Do you prefer traveling by plane, train or car?
Plane is faster, but more uncomfortable. Train is much nicer, but slow as fuck.

5. What's the next place on your list to visit?
Vancouver again, or probably Seattle.
