Washington fireworks are so much cooler than Oregon fireworks, 'cause they fly and explode in the air and are shiny and sparkly and stuff (big fan of shiny sparklies, in case you couldn't tell). And they don't whistle like demented teakettles on speed like the big Oregon fireworks do.

And happy fourth, even though it's all over now. Here's hoping next year I won't be obligated to say this, lest Ashcroft bring his Punishing Fist of Justice down upon my head.
