Every so often I feel the urge to take up smoking. Of course, I won't for financial and aesthetic reasons (stale cigarette smoke has got to be the one of the most disgusting smells on the planet), but sometimes, the simple ritualistic act of putting a death stick to your mouth and inhaling your own mortality seems incredibly grounding.
