Random thought before I go off to work:

If you're pre-born, and you have memories of your father making love to the man (okay, the ghola of the man) you're making love to, who also happens to be your uncle by marriage, is that a love triangle, incest, or just general weirdness?

Inside every slasher is a closet soap opera fan.

I sincerely hope you have a different definition of "pre-born" than I do, because it's way more than general weirdness for a baby to be having sex in utero.

It's not technically incest (unless you're, what, Middle European nobility?), and it's not a love triangle if it's not the same ghola. (Is it? Or was the father's lover the original?) So it's general weirdness with a lot of morally questionable overtones.

I always thought, though, that any offspring produced by gholas would be a wild card. I mean, really, those genes could be very messed up, couldn't they? with what we know about cloning now, and the unknowns of how gholas are made. (Love those illicit Tleilaxu, right?)

Does it really matter if it's not the same body? Especially considering they finally figured out how to bring back all of a ghola's memories. And there's always the perk of always having a new young and virile body to inhabit when the old one dies, as poor Duncan Idaho's seem to keep doing.
