So, um, yeah. Avril sucked at the Grammys. Her groupies were scary. She needs voice lessons, if she can't even spazz around and keep breathing at the same time. And she also needs elocution lessons. I saw an interview of her the other day and she didn't look up at the camera ONCE. Then she kinda mumbled "I want people all around the world to know me." Well, you sure don't act like it, honey. Go listen to Blink 182 and go on pretending you're punk as hell without bothering us about it. There's a reason you made a great Halloween costume.

I feel sorry for Chris Martin's piano. It looked so tiny, and he was pounding the shit out of it.

Why on earth were the people at the Grammys doing a tribute to The Clash? Isn't that kind of, um, pointless and against everything The Clash represented?

Dave Matthews has decided to weigh in about the war. If you can get past the part where he talks about choking on his conscience (I love the man, but jeez. I don't care about his opinion THAT much.), he makes the same arguments that most of the left makes, which is to say, perfectly valid, but with the offering of no alternatives or a willingness to do anything about the current administration. Go take a look at this issue of the Utne Reader (the one with the Statue of Liberty on the cover). It gives a good rundown of the problems of the left (of which there are many) and what could possibly be done about it.

eh, I guess I'll go into into defending!mode for a moment and post this:

"You've been quoted - or misquoted - about how punk you are.

(Interrupts) I'm not punk. I didn't ever say I was punk. Everyone labelled me punk because that's what they do when a new artist comes out, they, like, want to stick labels on you which is totally lame. But I don't walk around saying I'm punk. I'm not, I don't make punk music. "

Accusation withdrawn. She still sucks though.

I kept waiting for him to smack his head into the mike. Good perfromance though. At least he had some emotion.

The Clash thing kicked ass though and even though I wondered myself why they were doing it, it was the only reason I watched and the coolest part of the evening.
