Feb. 6th, 2003 01:13 amOkay, I understand that supporting a million users is a problem, but really, is this necessary? The free users have no room to bitch, as it's well, free, but as a paying customer, I feel that I should have some more warning other than word-of-mouth from the friends list. An email might be nice. You know, a "Hey, we're gonna have posting limits. You might want to know this. Give us more money so there won't be any more posting limits. Bye."
And just because Livejournal was the first and the most popular (Brad didn't use to be this much of a prick. I distinctly remember this.) doesn't mean that people are going to stay, if there is a free, referrer-code-less system that works exactly like it. The Powers That Be were talking about networking all the LJ system sites together, so you could have a Blurty or a Deadjournal and still add friends from wherever. So other than sheer numbers, Livejournal really doesn't have a whole lot going for it, IMO. I'm probably going to move journals when my paid account expires, if this stupidity keeps up.
