Combine this with the appalling but not exactly surprising revelation that BP has spent exactly $0 on spill cleanup research:
Like, what do I even do with this information? There's no point in writing my Congresscritters because there is absolutely no political will to move on this issue (cf. Jon Stewart). BP's never going to pay for the cleanup in any meaningful way, and the world is still fucked. If you need me I'm going to be eating ice cream.
