(no subject)

Back from Alaska. No auroras (aurorae?) this time, but I did get to see a bunch of huskies pulling a guy in a snowmobile thing alongside the highway that runs by my in-laws' house, which is where the Iditarod trailhead is located. (Cody would like to take this opportunity to remind you this is not a usual method of travel for Alaskans.) Reindeer sausage was eaten (tasty), cats were petted (adorable and mellower than the demon at home), and I was reminded why I really don't need cable (It all sucks. Seriously, 200 channels and all you can play is Fresh Prince and Monster in Law?). Saw I Am Legend (boring; the story was probably a lot better) and finished up the rest of season 1 of Battlestar Galactica (OMG OMG OMG).

Birthday party for Cody's boss last night. Sometimes, being the only sober one is a good thing, because then you can mock all the people who were drunk about all the silly things they remember only vaguely. There was also much Serious Pie consumed. I recommend the delicata squash, guanciale and pesto one, which is amazing when the guanciale isn't too salty.

No work for four days. I am v. happy about this.
