Vienna Teng concert tonight. Was fun. Jenny Owen Youngs was funny, but not particularly interesting as a songwriter. Deeply amusing to see her performing "Hot in Herre" and watching everybody over 35 be all confused at what the joke was though.

I was going to give you a setlist, but I can't remember all the songs, because I am senile and forgetful. I can tell you that she cracked an Office Space joke before launching into Whatever You Want, and that she reworked Gravity with a human drum machine and strings and it was lovely. Pontchartrain is fucking incredible live, and it gave me goosebumps. She did this awesome little jam in the middle of 1BR/1BA of Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 and Jamie Foxx's part in Golddigger, which was deeply amusing, because, dood! Kanye and Dolly Parton in the same song! Now that she's had some experience seeing how the songs from Dreaming Through the Noise play, it seems she's figured out how to have fun with them too. It's lovely, and it's fun to watch her do it.
