Because avoiding reading for class is much more fun:

Ezra Klein, as I may have mentioned many times before, is very cute. He is also very smart in matters of health policy. Here is his analysis of the 1994 Clinton health care debacle, and how it can help Democrats in this election. There is v. little that gives me hope nowadays, but this article did.

Esteemed economist Robert H. Frank shows you his crib All I kept thinking during this was "Damn, even with tenure your housing situation doesn't get better." (Also, is the study and role of affect in economics really that revolutionary? You'd think they were like information science, finally discovering it influences things.)

The Mike Huckabee Center for the Liberation and Housing of Spermatazoan-Americans opens in Second Life. This is why I giggle whenever anybody at the iSchool talks about Second Life being the new wave of the future and the next paradigm for online communication. It keeps me from wondering what the dean emeritus would do when confronted with a rain of penises at a political rally.

Also, the Paulistas have invaded WoW. As much as I would like to mock their candidate, I think it's really cool that they're trying to bring political awareness to an otherwise apolitical realm (no pun intended) and demographic. I wonder if we'll see Obama rallies. I'm told he resonates with young people and normally apathetic populations.
