Date: 2008-01-17 03:42 am (UTC)As far as Seattle-area, some influential state Democrats have said they won't block Sound Transit if it tries to go to the voters alone (i.e. instead of with roads), but ST hasn't made any noise yet on doing so. Someone needs to jump-start the process.

Date: 2008-01-17 05:23 am (UTC)Now see, last November when all those people handflapped about not getting a chance to vote on transit separately, I didn't think that the peeps down in Olympia were actually dumb enough to not encourage a standalone transit measure. It's really the only solution to the traffic woes in the area and nobody is doing anything about it. (And seriously, charging to drive on 520? Because stressing I-90 and 405 even more is the perfect solution to our problems!)
