Aug. 10th, 2007 05:45 pmThere are many strange gifts Microsoft gives the department, through its participation in the MSDNAA, and the fact that they find it good to cultivate relationships with a place that gives them many employees. This is one of them.

There's a USB drive in the pen itself, which is kind of awesome and kind of cheesy. I love it. It might actually be useful.
There is also a Zune on the shelf next to the stack of USB pens. I asked IT Director what he was going to do with it, and he said he was going to use it as a giveaway item for some student thing. But he said he'd have to do it before the new Zune comes out, otherwise it would look like a booby prize. This is deeply amusing coming from somebody who is so pro-Microsoft.
Also, I am totally addicted to the Visual Bookshelf application on Facebook.
