My favorite Mr. Rogers story has always been the one about him getting his car stolen and then returned, although the Koko one may run a close second.
When I was little, I watched Mr. Rogers, but I didn't think much of him. He was just there. After he died though, I bawled like a baby. Shit, reading his Esquire obituary made me get all teary at work. The man really was the closest thing to a bodhisattva I've ever seen or heard of.
I miss Mr. Rogers.
