The disturbing and creepy phenomenon of "purity balls"

I can understand the whole "virginity pledge" when the girl is old enough to know what the hell virginity means, but there are girls as young as seven participating in these things. It's one thing to get all dressed up like a pretty pretty princess and spend time with daddy, but this is just fucking gross.

(I totally misread that at first, thinking of the round, bouncy type of balls, so I was envisioning a variation on BenWa Balls, except to safeguard a girl's "purity", and um. Yes.)

Anyway, um:

It is impossible to convey what I have seen in their sweet spirits, their delicate, forming souls, as their daddy takes them out for their first, big dance. Their whole being absorbs my loving attention, resulting in a radiant sense of self-worth and identity.

It is also impossible to convey exactly how creepy that is, especially in context. Ewwwwww!
