* Went out to drink with co-workers, they're actually a pretty cool bunch of people. Am bemused that I somehow ended up the only girl of the group. Again. Stayed up until 4:30 pwning J at Tekken 4, which is very frightening, because I don't know how to play at all.

* Whirlwind trip to Portland, saw [livejournal.com profile] starstealingirl and [livejournal.com profile] mydarkstar over Ethiopian food and 'murican breakfast, respectively. Miss Portland so much. Miss the alt-weeklies, miss the food. There is so very little decent Ethiopian food in Seattle it makes me want to cry.

* Want to watch TV, but so very little time. I never thought I would ever say that. Downloading new episodes of Lost, Rome, and Kitchen Confidential as we speak. [livejournal.com profile] dsudis says it's slashy. And it has John Cho from Harold and Kumar in it. Rock.

* Shift will be changing at work, due to another person on the team leaving. Effective 10/2, I work M-F, weekends off. Totally amazed I managed to score a mostly conventional work schedule. Well, conventional, if you count the fact that I get off at 12:45 in the morning.

* Going to Anansi Boys signing on 10/4. Will be meeting Neil Gaiman in the flesh in almost exactly one week. Cannot think about this anymore, or else brain will implode.

* Neil said it was okay to see Serenity before Mirrormask, so will do. Lots of Firefly fans in Seattle. Need to find other fen/partners in crime. Neither are not forthcoming. This is aggravating.

* Was reminded I have ad on Stranger personals. Checked it. 1 flirt from guy in Lacey, WA. Not bad looking, but Lacey. Ate there once on way to Portland and was totally creeped out. Also unimpressed by fact that he says he gets along with people who grew up poor, like it's something one should pat him on the head for. Sigh.

* Going to sleep now. Good night.

I like Ethiopian food. Haven't had it in forever and to be honest, quit looking for it..

So many people let their past drive who they are right now in the wrong ways. What is important is what you are doing right now towards your own future. People that tend to hang to tightly on the past always forget to see how wonderful things can be right in front of them.

I have been thinking about visiting Portland soon. Anything you feel I should make it a point to see?
