The world conspires against me, I swear. My cell phone is kaput after I forgot to charge it last night, and it won't even let me get into my address book to fish out out a number. And apparently there's not an AC adapter on the entire campus that might even have a miniscule chance of charging up the phone. So consequently, I shall now have to dash home after a two hour class, hope that the friend I want to meet to go see Triplets of Belleville doesn't get all confused and run back to Beaverton, and, oy.

Maybe I should just go home now and say fuck it all.

What kind of phone is it?

(Re peartinis: Yes pls. I need to drown my sorrows, the least of which is the Fishie of Deadness. Le sigh.)

It's a Kyocera something or other (http://www.kyocera-wireless.com/rave_phone/rave_phone_series.htm). The Virgin Mobile site calls it the "Rave" model. *blerghs* I have a feeling the reason the battery dies so quickly is because of the backlight. Convenient and useful, but very battery intensive.

(Just commented re: peartinis, but is Friday good?)

"Rave" model? *joins you in blerghing* How long did it last before the battery died? Mine usually goes about a week before I have to recharge it, and it has a backlight, too, but then, I hardly ever actually make any calls on it. Does the backlight just turn on when it's in use, or is it on all the time?

(Re peartinis: Hrm, tonight or Thursday night would be better...thanks to the "thoughtfulness" of my boss at AJ, I will be working 7:30-11am at AJ and 11:30am-8pm at Barnes & Noble on Saturday. Have I mentioned that I really need to get a different second job, one where I have a boss who actually doesn't think that making someone work almost 12 hours on a weekend day is such a fabulous idea? No?)

Update re peartinis: Okay, I spent a chunk of today trying to get my Saturday schedule changed so I won't drop dead of exhaustion, and while I couldn't do anything about B&N, the aunt of the owner of AJ (who also works there, of course) said she could probably get someone else to cover for me there. Having to be up at 10am the day after I've been out drinking is still not great, but way better than 6:30. Yay!

(Also, this Friday is Unterzone again, FYI.)

Thursday's no go, as I have to work and I have a midterm on Friday. What time do you want to meet up?

Unterzone! Maybe we'll see Creed Boy there again. And are they having the shitty watered-down drinks? I actually like being able to taste orange juice in my screwdrivers, for some reason. And maybe we should go to 820's happy hour some time, because we are ohsofucking hipster.

Why is it when I actually start having friends who are willing to go out with me, I have no fucking time?

What time is this 820 happy hipster hour thing? Any time you're free is keweliez with me, as I thank-Godfully don't have work at all on Friday.

Actually, I found last time that the drinks at the other bar in Unterzone, the one closer to the entrance, are stronger, albeit not by a whole lot...I got drunk on three drinks from there. Then again, I went straight from work, where I got off at 11pm, so I got there at about 11:40. Three drinks in 20 minutes, especially when I've barely eaten all day = instant drunkenness.

Same here, man...I finally start having a decent social life right when I get a job that likes to schedule me early in the morning on weekends. anGesT!1!!
