Two posts on O'Connor's legacy I think y'all should read. The first deals with the perception that she was a force of liberalism on the court, which couldn't be further from the truth. The second lifts part of her opinion from Planned Parenthood v. Casey. You might want to take a look at that too.

If, according to this article, U2's net worth is estimated to be about 700 million, Bono's share would be (if split equitably) 175 million. I have no doubt he's worth more, however. According to some graphic I saw on CNN today at the gym, it costs about 300 dollars to feed eight African children for a year. By my calculations, that means Bono could feed about 4682272 African children for a year.

And, apparently it would cost 80 billion to feed, water, inoculate, and educate the desperately poor of the world. I think if we got the celebrities of the world to give up even a quarter of their salaries, we could go a long ways towards that amount.
