Somehow, I feel more of a loss hearing that Ray Charles has died than when I heard about Reagan's death. Of course, everybody knew that Reagan had to kick off sooner or later, but those of us who don't follow the death watch in the tabloids were taken totally by surprise. Godspeed, Mr. Charles, and I'm sorry the first thing that popped into my head was the Diet Pepsi jingle.

Pop-up toolbar spreads via IE flaws

The flaws could let any attacker with a Web site send an e-mail message or an instant message with a link that, when clicked on by an Internet Explorer user, would cause a program to run on that victim's computer.

Heads up, IE users. And I can recommend many other browsers that work so much better than Internet Explorer. Seriously. Once you encounter tabbed browsing you'll never go back. And all of them have built-in popup killer support.
