There is something cognitively dissonant and voyeuristic about Googling the name of your coworker's band, and coming up with all these reviews that are a 180 degree turn from the person(a) you know and discuss grocery store politics with. There's also something to be said for the pretentious wankery of art/indie/punk reviewers.
