Sep. 13th, 2002 12:37 pmAn interesting article about ethics in business schools (thanks
pjammer).
One of the profs at Harvard Business School uses the justification against teaching ethics courses to business majors, "We are here to teach science." Since when does science (if one can argue economics as a science, but then again, I'm a sociology major, so I shouldn't be talking) operate in a vacuum? The technology and knowledge of a science is amoral, but it is wielded by humans, who do have responsibilities to their fellow people as well as their corporations.
