And, glutton for punishment that I am, I'm going to read the review. I need to keep this site up next to my Chinese homework to remind myself that there are scarier things out there than the character for "correct."

Are you learning traditional or simplified?

I learned trad last semester and transferred and I have to learn ALL of those BLOODY CHARACTERS again in simplified. And let me tell you, some of the simplified characters are so radically different I feel like banging my head against the wall on a constant basis.

We're learning traditional this year, so it's positively frightening. Next year is simplified. Bastards. :o) But I've seen lots of simplified characters and it is so much easier to learn simplified after you know the other ones. Bloody Commie script, as pjammer would say. ^.^

True true... much easier that way. But annoying. Annoying, annoying, annoying. I mean, have you seen the trad character for ji(as in "how many?") vs. the simplified? Like WTF is THAT!?
