Yay! Now we need to find a cheap hotel in Bend. The nice people at Mt. Bachelor Village (http://www.mtbachelorvillage.com/concerts/) (and since when was it a "village" as opposed to that sorta upscale ski lodge nobody ever went to?) are willing to give us a pair of free tix if we stay there for two nights, but unfortunately their cheapest rates are $85 a night. Plus, I'm not quite sure what we could do do in Bend for a day anyways. Besides freak out the vacationing yuppie normals, I mean. :P A quick search yields hotels that are about 60-ish a night. What say you?

*laugh* Whoa. You mean Bend, as in Bend the town. I just assumed it was some venue in Portland I hadn't heard of yet. So... where in Bend could a bunch of indie snobs hold a concert?

I guess it all depends. Are we talking $85 a night for each of us, or $85 split between us? Also, how much are the tickets? Depending on the tickets' price, Mt. Bachelor Village might be worth it.

I don't know what we're supposed to do in Bend. I don't like skiing, which puts a damper on our fun. Maybe we could hang out at the mall! *tosses hair*

Surprisingly, the Les Schwab Ampitheater. I'm sure the boys of the Decemberists and Death Cab are going to be twitching at the thought of a smoke and booze-free corporate venue (I think Frank Black and the rest of the Pixies have been around long enough to be eh about the whole corporate sponsorship thing), but the outrageous sums of money they're getting paid will keep them silent. :P

As for the rooms, they are 85 dollars a night, split between us. I dunno about you, but I don't really want to pay that much to stay in an overpriced resort. After Ticketbastard has their way with our behinds, I think tickets will be about 40 bucks each. If it were only one night I'd say go for it, but I'm not sure the extra night is worth it.

Maybe we could hang out at the mall! *tosses hair*

Bend has a mall? This (http://www.bendchamber.org/visitor/seeanddo.asp) is what the Chamber of Commerce says we can do. We could go to the llama farm, I guess. I like llamas. And apparently Bend has a tapas bar (http://www.bendbulletin.com/news/story.cfm?story_no=9770) (I totally dig the "these are what tapas are don't confuse them with Mexican food" tone of the article). Bend. Tapas bar. Something is not right here.

Apparently Bend has become the new "it" sort of corporately created buzz place to live. It has yuppie-trendy stores (http://www.theoldmill.com/theshops/directory.htm) now.
