Aug. 16th, 2018 06:59 pmI can never fucking tell if people are being presumptuous or if I'm being oversensitive.
So I posted a thing on Tumblr, as you do. It has become my new random snippets repository. (Maybe I should create a Dreamwidth specifically for that stuff. idk.) And somebody reblogged it.
I am confused about pretty much everything here. "Scrap" is not a prescriptive or evaluative term; it's a thing I worked on and am not going to elaborate on further. It's nice that they liked it, but I don't feel like not-so-subtly demanding more is all that appropriate?
To provide context, I am extremely sensitive to presumptions that I owe people my attention or labor, especially if it's unpaid. And this hits some of those buttons in a real irritating way. I'm still thinking about it, so obviously it bothers me, but I'm trying to figure out if it's a warranted reaction to such an off-hand comment.
