I think I'll use my Neil Gaiman icon just for the hell of it. I went to Powell's yesterday and was gratified to see that the TPB of Smoke and Mirrors has now arrived in the U.S. It has a very lovely cover. See? When I have money I suppose I'll have to pick it up. They also had the Live at the Aladdin Theater video for sale. Apparently, it's the only show Neil has ever had to do an encore at. ^.^ To tell you the truth, I don't think he really wanted to do one. When he came back out, he was like, "This is Chris's (Orr, director of the CBLDF) idea." So he read "Babycakes" and then he said "It's late. You must all be tired. Good night." Hee. Not that I blame him, if book tours and readings are as madcap as he says they are.

The employee grapevine is an amazing (and incredibly quick) mechanism. I talked to the nutrition manager about getting transferred to her department, and two days later, my manager in the deli tells me, "Your last day is September 1." Huh. I hadn't anticipated it would be that easy.

Mmkay. I'm going to go play Arcanum now.

While I'm waiting for Arcanum to install, I must plug Noah Grey's photo site. If I could be a third as talented as this man when I start taking photos (of course, one needs a camera of sorts before one can take photos), I shall be content. Beautiful. Just utterly beautiful.
